Fridges

Our current fridge is a cream Smeg (FAB28). From the outside it’s everything that a lover of a period kitchen could want, but inside is a different story. It’s cramped and bits of it break all too easily. That said, unfortunately it’s a well known feature of Smeg appliances and to their credit they make it easy to replace parts.

Actually we knew that we wanted an American style fridge/freezer with an ice maker and that it had to be stainless steel, so we looked at fridges from Bosch (KAN58A50GB), Hotpoint (MSZ802 and MSZ802DF), Neff (K3990), Siemens (KA58NA40GB, KA58NP90GB and KA58NA50GB) ans Zanussi (ZRT210X or ZRT210W). I was quite keen on the Bosch KAN58A50GB because I have a Bosch wshing machine that’s been running now for about 9 years without a glitch, but the hunt continues.

Oh my word, I just noticed that AGA do a larder refridgerator. I’d love to have room for an AGA anything!
